NEW AMOUNT OF THE INTERPROFESSIONAL MINIMUM WAGE FROM SEPTEMBER 2021
The new amount of the SMI (RD 817/2021) is set for permanent workers, for temporary or temporary workers and for domestic employees, the amounts being as follows:
-SMI for any activity without distinction of sex or age: 32.17 euros / day 965 euros / month.
-SMI for temporary and temporary workers (up to 120 days): 45.70 euros / legal day in the activity.
- SMI for domestic workers who work by the hour: 7.55 euros / hour actually worked
In the Minimum Wage only the remuneration in money is computed, without the salary in kind can give rise to the diminution of the complete amount in money of that one, and is referred to the legal day of work in each activity. If a lower working day is performed, the proportional part will be received.
With regard to temporary and temporary workers, whose services in the same company do not exceed 120 days, together with the SMI they will receive the proportional part of the remuneration corresponding to Sundays and public holidays and the two extraordinary bonuses.
Finally, indicate that the increase in the SMI will not affect the structure or the amount of professional salaries that workers receive, when these salaries as a whole and on an annual basis were higher than this minimum wage.
