JUSTICE PREPARES THE HALLS OF CATALONIA FOR VIDEO CONFERENCE TRIALS

The Department of Justice has acquired 447 new licenses to hold trials by videoconference, one for each of the courtrooms in courts throughout Catalonia. This investment in technology will make it possible for trials, previews and statements to be held without unnecessary travel and avoiding the accumulation of people in courthouses.

Views scheduled until September 30

As of September 30, there are 24,960 scheduled appointments, of which 24,506 (98%) are in the morning (until 3 p.m.) and 591 (2%) in the afternoon.

Of all Catalonia, Barcelona city (City of Justice) has 52% of reports (12,914), of which 12,460 (96%) are in the morning and 454 (4%) in the afternoon.

84% of the views currently scheduled for the afternoon belong to the City of Justice. This is 84% of the 2% of total reports in Catalonia for the afternoon.
