INCREASE IN SOCIAL SECURITY CONTRIBUTION

03/02/2022

The first change that the self-employed will notice in their pockets during the first stages of 2022 will be an increase of between 5 and 21 euros in the Social Security contribution. This is due to the fact that the PGEs are contemplating an increase in the contribution bases which will force all the self-employed to see the amount of their contribution increased. For example, workers who contribute to the minimum base will start paying 293.94 euros a month from January, which will mean a total of 60 euros more per year. For the self-employed, the new fee is set at € 377.87, an increase of 76.20 euros more than the total they paid in 2021.
