This Sunday, March 1st, the speed limit regulation at 30 kilometers per hour has begun to be applied.
It is applied in the secondary streets of the city, including those that have more than one lane or more than one lane per direction, which are already part of the so-called "zone 30".
Also on the 2.4-kilometer section that goes from Plaza España to Munné Street, it will go from the limit of 50 to a new limit of 30. According to the City Council, 9,700 vehicles pass through this axis every day in the mountain direction and 8,500 in the direction sea.
The objective announced by the Barcelona City Council is that next year 75% of the city streets have a speed limit of 30 kilometers per hour.
