224 EUROS OF FINE FOR THE FATHER WHO KEPT HIS SON IN A SUITCASE

The Sixth Section of the Provincial Court of Cádiz, based in Ceuta, has condemned on Tuesday the payment of a fine of 224 euros to the father of the child who was discovered in 2015 in a suitcase by the Civil Guard scanner.

In the trial held on Tuesday at the Provincial Court, the lawyer of the accused has reached an agreement in accordance with the prosecution and has accepted a sentence of three months and 22 days of fine at a rate of two euros per day for a crime against the rights of foreign citizens with the very qualified attenuating of kinship.

After the agreement reached between the parties, the court has issued sentence 'in voce' and has sentenced the defendant to pay a fine of 224 euros, although he will only have to pay 92 euros since the rest of the fine has been commuted for the 33 days that the defendant spent in provisional prison for these events.
